KBCTClite

 What is KBCTClite?

KBCTClite
Have you heard about KBCTClite? If not, why don’t you take a moment to chat to someone in your church who has been on the 2007 course? The twenty-four students ranged from their early 20s to retirement and were from a wide range of academic backgrounds. Most have loved it and all have been challenged by it. What has been wonderful to see is that the twenty-four individuals who started the course have become a community of learners, who have grown to love and respect one another in a new way.

Lectures
The lecturers are all speakers from King's Bible College and Training Centre (KBCTC) in Oxford and Regent College, Vancouver and the lectures are both relaxed and interactive.

Tutorials
The tutorials are a key part of the course. They are small groups in which everyone has the opportunity to discuss not only the lectures, but also books they have been reading and, possibly most importantly, general theological questions they have. No question is off limits and each is explored in an open way with no pat answers offered! This has proved profoundly helpful for many.

 Student Comments

”I have gained an incredible appreciation of the wonder of the Bible: The course has opened my eyes to the way scriptures fit together so intricately and coherently to tell God’s story.” Sue Trudinger

”I've been challenged, stretched and encouraged. My eyes have been opened to the vastness of our God in a new way. The course gives you the courage to question what you believe without fear, and whets your appetite for more.” Nancy Bentliff

”The course so far has given me a whole new way to read the Bible; namely to study it. This has caused me to read the Bible more and to give deeper reflection on what God's Word has to say to me today. I only wish that I had done this years ago!” Ben Verrall

”One of my biggest joys was discovering my Young's Concordance could do so much more than I thought! I’d only used it to locate half remembered references or find a handful of references on a particular topic. My eyes didn't even register the different Greek & Hebrew words & the richness of the difference uses. Nor did I realise I could find out where words had been translated differently. It’s opened up a whole new set of options - like finding new bits on a Swiss penknife. Tools are only of use to us if we are shown properly how to use them!” Cathy Sherwood
