Key House - week beginning 12 July
The QMC furniture and equipment was moved last weekend and is begins to be installed. The food tech room (or kitchen!) is really taking shape with cookers and work surfaces installed. The new fire escape has arrived and is being fitted (like big boys ‘Meccano’!). Some of the school staff and the Year 10 students had a tour of the new building this week and were generally impressed with the size of the rooms, the corridors and especially the food tech area! The King’s School finished for the summer holidays on Wednesday and the staff packed away everything ready for the big move. There is still a huge amount to do, please pray for Dave Downer and the construction team. Take a look at the latest pictures and discover why Mr Hackston has kept some peanuts since 1991...
Mr Merv Brown (one of Dave's electrical team) continues installing miles of cable...
...as does Dave in 'worship postion' ( I will offer up this socket...)
The food tech room is nearly done...and is looking good :)
Plastering continues in the music room...
...and in the drama room (AKA the studio).
In the dirty lab, some of the furniature from QMC begins to go into postion...
...and in the clean lab, more QMC equipment is stored.
Outside the new fire escape is being built.
Meanwile, down at The King's School, term is over so the staff pack up everything ready for the big move. We start in the Bramblys building with a chair race between Mrs Grant and Mrs Goddard...
...Mrs Goddard wins!
The Year 11 tutor base.
In the lab, Mr Hackston talks about the peanuts...
Mrs Dunn packs away candles...
...then needs to sort this drawer of weights out!
The medical room.
The staff 'work area'.
Mrs Hollow packs books in room 3.
Room 4 is nearly ready to go...
...as is room 5.
In room 2, Mr Beese thinks 'do i keep it or do i throw it', whilst Mrs Valdar seals up a box.
Room 1 is all packed up!
In the art room, Mrs Duke, Mrs Osborne and Mrs Shepperd continue to go through all the art stuff!
In the Sarum Hill Centre basement, Miss Booth sorts out the drama cupboard.
The music room - how do you get a drum kit in a packing box?
In the main hall, the infant team sort through books...
...as they empty out the large cupbaord.
Upstairs in the junior department Mrs Farmer, Mr Simmons and Mrs Wei smile for the camera...
...as does Mrs Aspray...
...because they are all packed up :)
