Key House - week beginning 19 April
This week work continues to progress. A new electrical fuse box goes in, the external brickwork and the internal walls on the ground floor go up. The pipework and ventilation continues to spread throughout the whole building. The second floor partition walls go in - so you can begin to see the size of the teaching spaces. The roof is completed (accept for the dormer windows) and we check out the onsite loo!
Take a look at the video and the photos below...

The NEW fuse box, on the ground floor.
One of the heating engineers checks the plans (good idea)...
...to know where all these need to go.
Outside, the external brickwork goes up (nice match)...
...and inside, the internal bricks define the new rooms, this will be the music room.
This will be a toilet...
...and this will be the art room.
Bricks without straw...and no it's not elephant poo :)
Here you can see where a window has been blocked up (top right)
Hello, it's Mr Warner and Mr Downer shifting a scaffold tower! What is Dave saying?
The second floor is slowly transforming, here's the classroom at the far end...
...and the 'new' corridor (the recesses will be where the lockers go).
Looking the other way, the new fire escape will be going in at the end.
The new 'prep' room.
The corridor at the front of the building, you can just see the store cupboard on the left.
This will be the boys' toilets...
...and this is a seminar room at the front of the building.
The roof is looking rather good - and what a view!
And to finish, here's the onsite loo...lovely :)
