Key House - week beginning 21 June
Things are moving along nicely at Key House. The painting has started on the second floor. All the windows and doors are now in so 'plaster-boarding' can start on the ground floor. Meanwhile outside, the old fire escape has gone, a new pavement is being laid outside the classrooms and preparation is made at the back of the building for the 'art store' to be moved in.
You should also notice that we now have thew You Tube clips 'embedded' into the site...nice :)
As Dave is away 'Tour Guide' Gary Bastin updates you on each floor, starting at the top and working down...
...the first floor...
...and ground floor and outside.
On the second floor the painters are hard at work.
In another room, the painting is done so the engineer starts to put the brackets in place for the radiators.
On the second floor corridor the new walls (on the right) have been painted.
At the front of the building the old 'vinyl' wallpaper is being removed.
The end classroom on the first floor.
The corridor on the first floor...waiting to be painted.
Down on the ground floor, the music room is being 'plaster-boarded'...
...as is the art room.
Outside the old fire escape has gone...
...and brickwork is being done for the 'art store' to go in...
...and footings for the new fire escape.
Along the side of the building a new path is being laid.
At the front, the land is being cleared to widen the pathway on Sarum Hill and 'site' a new bus shelter.
