Key House - week beginning 28 June

This week the front wall has been removed and ground levelling has begun in preparation for the highways work. The pre-start for the actual highway work, re-siting the bus shelter, footpath widening etc, has been arranged for next Tuesday - we will still need a clearance date for actually starting this work - but this is progress. We are hoping to get the Clean Lab and Dirty Lab ceiling work (mainly electrics) completed shortly, in preparation for receiving work benching and equipment from QMC on the 10th July. Decoration of completed areas is proceeding well. The new ground floor Art, Craft and Music rooms are now largely boarded out and some ceilings installed. The grenn hut (former Special Needs) has been re-sited to Key House for the Art/Craft material Store. Delivery of the new fire escape has been programmed for next week. Check out the latest video and photos below.

Moving the green (and yellow) hut from Bramblys car park...

Hello, hello who's knees are those..?

It's Dave...

...and Pete Warner (concentrating very hard) at work :)

The food tech room is painted ready for the equipment to go in...

...and here is all ready to be installed.

One of the cookers.

On the second floor the radiators have been fitted in the clean lab...

...and so has the disabled toilet along the corridor.

The corridor is being prepared for painting.

Outside the site is being cleared...

...as the new pavement progesses.

The hut is now in it's 'new' home...

..and becomes the 'art store'.

At the front of the building the area is being cleared.

On the ground floor, the art room has been 'plaster-boarded'...

...and looks like it's been built out of cardboard!
