Key House - week beginning 29 March
The last week in March and things are moving along nicely. The plumbing for the heating and air extraction (from the food technology room on the second floor) continues to go in, as does the new insulation on the roof (weather permitting). The space under the first floor was concreted ready for the walls to go in. Dave Downer gives an update on the second floor, roof and ground floor on YouTube! Click on the links below.

A beautiful day means the roofers can crack on...
...they've cleared all the loose stones and moss...
...by throwing them down this red 'tube'...
...into the skip below.
The builders 'car park'!
The ground floor concrete has been laid...
...meanwhile the new 'drama' room is a workshop.
A very smiley man from Tag Guard’s TagAlarm installs a security system to provide intruder detection and security cover aimed at preventing crime during the extensive renovation process. The high tech alarm system is backed up by 24-hour remote monitoring and locally based mobile security guards who will aim to catch criminals and intruders red handed. This means we can protect the site as well as cover our Health & Safety responsibilites.
Tag Guard Ltd (www.tag-guard.com) pioneered the development of wireless security products and is now one of the UK’s leading specialists in wireless systems for buildings and construction sites.
The all important kettle and teapot in the 'kitchen' on the ground floor!
Not much has happened on the first floor - accept the pipework going in (top right).
More new pipework on the second floor...
...and the air extraction unit which stretches...
...all the way down to the 'food technology' room.
The floor tiles have been lifted for the new walls to go in...
...whilst the others have been covered over for protection, and finally...
...Mr Dave Downer working hard in his office :)
