Key House - week beginning 5 July UPDATE!
On Saturday 10 July a team of volunteers hired a van and moved loads of equipment from Queen Mary's College (the local sixth form) to Key House. All this 'stuff' was no longer need by QMC, and was to be thrown out, as they had recently build and kitted-out a whole new building! This was a fantastic (Godly) provsion for us in Key House. Take a look at the video and pictures below...
On a hot Saturday morning the 'loading team' meet at QMC to pack the van...
Phil Horley, who has been working with QMC explains what's going on...
Stripping the classroom...
...these worktops are solid oak!
...all this is all for us...
...including this interactive whiteboard...
...and projector!
The sinks have been removed for us to have too.
Waiting to be loaded onto the van.
Once full the van was driven to Key House for the 'unloading team'...
A dishwasher for the lab prep room...
...and large white boards for the classrooms.
Waiting to go up in the lift...
...and taken to their new home.
This is the new art room on the ground floor.
You can see the new 'art store' next to the art room.
A new toilet for the boys was also going in.
As was some electrical work! Mr Dave Downer proudly points to the first cable to be connected in the new 'fuse' box in the lab prep room!
The food tech room (kitchen!) takes shape too.
Finally, the ground work has been done for the new (improved) entrance area at the front of Key House.
