School of Ministry

rucksackThe ‘School of Ministry’ is a training programme that attempts to provide fresh ways of discipleship and equipping of the whole body of Christ, not just for ministry in ‘the church’ but for the whole of life. Our passion is still for living relationships between people to continue as the main path to growth, but these courses will add specific insights, training and skills.

Our desire is for ‘communities of learning’ to develop, both within each individual course and between concurrent courses. To facilitate this we will look for active participation, personal research and reading, probing questioning, as well as more traditional teaching methods. In this way we hope that the God given insights already existing in each of us, and fresh insights God brings on the way, will have opportunity to be shared and heard, as we seek to grow in God together.

We aim to present training in an integrated and clear way, so that each person can easily locate the ‘next’ course to aid them in their growth in ministry and gifting.

The programmes are usually run in the Spring and Autumn terms, meeting for 5 evenings once a week, over a 6 week period. There are usually 2-3 course options to choose from, which you would then attend for the duration of the course.
