What is Christian education?

 Christian education is founded upon biblical principles and a God-centred worldview. The aim is to help each child know their value, to achieve academically to his or her ability level, to train them in issues of character and to help equip them for life.

Every child has the right to be trained (as well as the right to be born and to be loved). "A child is a little person without a sense of values, without information, without skills, without attitudes, without character patterns - just waiting to be trained."

Christian education seeks to help children reach their destiny. It believes that every child:

• Is a unique individual, loved by God.
• Was created in the image of God and as such, is worthy of respect, dignity and love.
• Has a destiny for which he/she has been born.

In addition, Christian Education:

• Regards the education and training of a child as an investment to help that child achieve his/her destiny.
• Seeks to develop character and attitudes that are pleasing to God.
• Seeks to encourage a loving relationship with God, to enjoy Him and to obey Him.
• Will seek to assist the child in taking responsibility, while being dependent upon God, rather than others.
• Seeks to help each child reach his full potential in God - this is true success!
• Will encourage the child into godly desires, aims and objectives for his/her life.
• Seeks to prepare the child for eternity, not just for life.
