Paula Gooder

Dr Paula Gooder is a freelance writer and lecturer in Biblical Studies. Her main areas of research include the writings of Paul, Biblical Interpretation, and the Development of Ministry in the Early Church. She is Canon Theologian both of Birmingham Cathedral and of Guildford Cathedral, a reader in the Church of England and a member of the General Synod. She is also a visiting lecturer at King's College, London, an associate lecturer at St Mellitus College, London, an honorary lecturer at the University of Birmingham and a Senior Research Scholar at the Queen's Foundation, Birmingham. Paula is the author of a number of books including ‘The Meaning is in the Waiting: The Spirit of Advent’, ‘A Way through the Wilderness: God’s Help in a Time of Crisis’ and ‘Searching for Meaning: An Introduction to Interpreting the New Testament’. Bob Ekblad
Bob Ekblad, is executive director of Tierra Nueva and The People’s Seminary in Burlington, Washington. A minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), he holds a ThD in Old Testament and is known internationally for his courses and workshops on reading the Bible. Bob and his wife Gracie minister at Tierra Nueva and at their home-based retreat centre New Earth Refuge (see www.bobekblad.com). They have three children. He is also the author of 'A New Christian Manifesto' and 'Reading the Bible with the damned'. His passion is to see leaders recruited, equipped and empowered by the Holy Spirit to minister to society's least. He teaches courses in Biblical studies in missions at Regent College in Vancouver, BC, Mars Hill Graduate School, Seattle and Westminster Theological Centre in the UK and leads workshops around the world on jail/prison ministry and missions.
