Tadley Summer Kids' Club
14th August 2010
The Summer Holiday Kids' Club ran again this year, from 3rd to 6th August 2010. It was led by a team of volunteers from Tadley Community Church at the Heath End Village Hall. The children enjoyed sports activities, crafts, Bible stories, slapstick comedy, songs and DVDs. The week was themed around a fish & chip shop called Rocky's Plaice, which provided scope for all sorts of messy fun and games.
Each day included games on the field, art and craft activities, a puppet show and a short drama involving mess and fun, as well as times for reflection and discussion and a Bible-focused story and DVD clip. This is the second year that the club has run, and many of the children were returning after enjoying last year's club activities. As well as Tadley, children came from Bramley, Aldermaston and Kingsclere to enjoy the week's activities and fun.
As you can see from the pictures, the helpers, who were all volunteers, had as much fun as the children! We are grateful to Rachel and her team of helpers who worked extremely hard to make sure the kids had a great week.
