Activities in the Community

As a church, we are committed to following the example of Jesus in finding ways to show the love of God and the good news of Jesus Christ to the community around us.  To do this, we have a range of church activities, and we also encourage our members to be involved in all aspects of the life of the cimmunity around us.  This is expressed through a number of church initiatives, such as the following: 

• Faith and Deeds weeks, where we help needy people in the area with work around their homes and gardens
• Serving the Community Centre by carrying out maintenance tasks
• Provision of a summer Children's Club
• Providing the team who run the weekly Age Concern Lunch Club for the elderly in the Ambrose Allen Centre
• A number of other initiatives
• Working with the other churches in Tadley to serve in a number of ways
• The SWELS group, which provides a range of social activities for the older members of the community
• Employing a Youth and Community worker, who provides activities, pastoral imput and Christian input in local schools

In addition, our members are involved in many areas of service in the local community, including: 

• Serving as school governors
• Organising the "Hope for Tadley" charity and its events
• Helping in the running of a number of community-based organisations
• Running the TASTE Youth group.
• The PROCLAIM Choir, a choir made up of people from all the churches in Tadley.
