Leadership teams
We have recently made some changes to our leadership structure. We have established three new key teams with the aim being to help us in specific areas of church life: upward, inward and outward. The teams are to encourage growth in these areas - not in tension, but in harmony with each other! We also have formed a new core team which will oversee these various activities. We have four Elders who are part of the core team and also meet on their own. Below shows the kind of areas each team will be responsible for (Sorry there are no photos yet):
UPWARD TEAM
- putting God first / honouring God / devotion to God
- our relationship with God & understanding the Bible
- worship in its broadest sense (individually & corporately)
- living by the Spirit
- looking at our gatherings (shaped by what we believe)
- Sundays / midweek / other
INWARD TEAM
- making disciples of all ages / pastoral care
- discipleship for all
- looking at a variety of possible groupings (i.e. single gender groups / age specific groups)
- facilitating specific events and courses
- small groups
- prayer groups
- social/ 'family' events for the church
OUTWARD TEAM
- proclaiming the gospel / transforming society
- help with personal outreach
- start & support local project initiatives
- joint projects with other churches in town
- working here and abroad
CORE TEAM
- helping to keep everything running smoothly
- time in prayer & the Bible
- overseeing the 3 circles
- looking ahead
- guarding our core commitments & what we believe
