We managed to grab a few minutes with Gary, the TC leader, to ask some very important questions...
How long have you lived in Basingstoke?
Pretty much all my life, I moved here in 1970 with my parents.
Are you married?
Yes, to Marianne and we have three children.
What’s your favourite film of all time?
Star Wars 'A new hope' originally out in 1977.
What's the naughtiest thing you've ever done?
Shoplifting - I got severely punished when my dad found out (I was at junior school at the time).
What would we be surprised to know about you?
I've not got a tattoo or any body piercing but I do have a growing interest in design / architecture.
What was your favourite childhood sweet?
Sherbet fountain.
What food do you really dislike?
Liver.
What’s your favourite TV programme?
Grand Designs, Harry Hill’s TV Burp, The X Factor.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Eating white chocolate whilst watching 'You’ve Been Framed'!
What music do you listen to?
My favourite band is U2, with ‘One’ being my favourite song.
However over the years I’ve come to love classical music too.
I do seem to have a lot of 80s music on the shelf!
What modern invention couldn't you live without?
The toilet, but I often think what did I do before email?
Who is your favourite bible character?
Joseph (after Jesus of course), and David would be next.
What is your hope for TC?
Very simple, that we become the people that God has always wanted us to be.
