Unity in diversity...

6th June 2018

This week I was reading 1 Corinthians 12 and ‘One body, many parts’ vs 21-25:

…But god has combined the members of the boby and has given greater honour to the parts that lacked it, so that here should be no division in the body, but that the parts should have equal concern for each other’.

I’m one of those people that since working at CWR and been introduced to’ Myers Briggs Personality Type’ have become fascinated with different ‘personality types’ and how unqiue we all are, different strengths and weaknesses, for example some love a robust conversation, others avoiding such discussions thinking it will bring stress and conflict. Some love to be highly organised whilst others view organisation as restrictive and suffocating as they are more free spirited. It is good to recognise our differences whether in our personality or our ‘part of the body of Christ’. However, our security must come from not who we are but whose we are and from there we can see that although we are different we are to have no division just strength and to be united for His purposes, let us have unity in our diversity.
