Youth

Youth cells: each region of BCCs has its own weekly youth groups. Although they all have their own flavour, they all have a mixture of teaching, activities and social evenings. The youth cells are a place where our young people can grow in their relationships with God and each other and to be supported in what they face day to day in life, at school, college, or University.

The Edge

In East Community Church we have been involved in running a weekly youth congregation in the area, called the edge. At the edge we have food, cell groups and teaching. It is a joint project with Christ Church, another church in Chineham, and God has really been blessing the edge as we work together.

Taste

TasteTASTE is a youth event held every Sunday 7-9pm at Tadley Community Centre, Newchurch Road, RG26 4HN. We now have a number of key areas that are involving those that come to TASTE, such as band/music, dance team, fun, teaching, pastoral, etc. The age range of those attending is 13-20, with opportunities for others to help/lead etc. We have weekend's away, visiting Soul Survivor, Hillsong London and various gigs and other events.

In the last year we have carried out community projects such as litter picking around Tadley, and assisting at a village fete. We estimate that well over 200 young people have attended TASTE at least once in 2008.

B:United

UnitedOur vision is to create the opportunity for young Christians from across Basingstoke to worship God together, get to know each another, discover what God was doing around the town and share some of the things they are going through as they seek to live as young Christians in Basingstoke. We meet together every couple of months.
